Thursday marks a time for celebration, strong drinks and an annual run.
It’s Cinco de Mayo time again and the traditional 5k run/walk is scheduled for Thursday 5 May with the usual 5:55pm start time. The route for the event will start at the entrance to Safehaven Drive and will follow an out-and-back course.
Registration on the day begins on-site at 4:30pm and the $15 entry fee includes an event shirt and the opportunity for performance and random awards.
Sponsor is Carlos and Martin’s Tex-Mex Cantina in Seven Mile Shops and the fun goes on all day and into the night at the host venue. Half-price food specials is the order of the day with other offers on the menu also and a quantity of commemorative shirts being distributed as well.
Los Tropicanos is scheduled to provide festive music throughout the evening.
