Appleby has announced the appointment of Tony Heaver-Wren to the position of counsel.
Mr. Heaver-Wren, a member of Appleby’s Litigation and Insolvency Practice Group, is based in the Cayman Islands office. He works primarily in the areas of solvent and insolvent liquidations and insolvent corporate restructurings, shareholder and director disputes and insolvency litigation.
Mr. Heaver-Wren has more than 15 years of experience in advising and representing major lenders, liquidators, administrators, receivers and boards of private and publicly listed companies on all aspects of corporate governance contentious and non-contentious insolvency and corporate restructuring.
He has published extensively in publications such as Corporate Rescue & Insolvency, Dispute Resolution Review and the Cross-Border Insolvency Handbook.
Mr. Heaver-Wren obtained an LL.B. degree at the University of Western Australia in 1993, having previously obtained an Arts (Honours) degree at UWA.
He was called to the Western Australian Bar in February 1994 and was admitted to the roll as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2006. He was admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands in February 2008.
