Tons galore as T20 hots up

Ramon Sealy of the ESSO Cubs and Paramount’s Leon Watson scored centuries for their teams in a high scoring match at the Smith Road Oval.

While Watson’s 131 had some help from Carlton West 43, Sealy who made 130, was assisted by Omar Willis 52 and Darren Cato 41 and came out on the winning side as ESSO Cubs registered a 62 runs victory under the Duckworth/Lewis system.

At the Jimmy Powell Oval, Aims Consultants Ainsley Hall 81 and Sunil Jugbir 49 followed by an outstanding 5 wickets haul from Locksley Davis proved too much for Chillies. Aims Consultants won by 135 runs.

In Cayman T/20 action, By Rite registered a big win against League champions Prison. Steve Gordon 68 and Kevin Bazil 42 ensured that Prison had a competitive total of 159. By Rite’s Ainsley Hall 82 and Adrian Wright 46n.o proved otherwise as By Rite won by 8 wickets.

Greenies 1 finally broke the drought and defeated ESSO Tigers by 28 runs. After a workmanlike approach in making 126 runs with contributions from Ian Rotsey 30, Sacha de Alwis 19 and Andrew Ledger 18, Greenies 1 limited ESSO Tigers to 98. Nick Sellars and Hector Robinson took 2 wickets each in the victory.
