Improved Key to Cayman key in helping tourism

Tourists will be better informed than ever following the publication of the newest Key to Cayman magazine.

Justin Uzzell, Special Publications at Cayman Free Press, said Key to Cayman is the official publication of the Cayman Islands Tourism Association.

“The magazine is available in the arrivals hall at Owen Roberts international Airport, at dozens of key distribution points island-wide and through hotels and condominiums island-wide. Packed with essential information on where to eat, sleep, shop and play, it is the number one guide to the Cayman Islands.

“Through visitor feedback supplied from the Cayman Islands Tourism Association, we have enhanced our content by providing what the reader has requested, such as the Top 10 Dive Sites in the Cayman Islands, the Events Calendar and more. With the Key to Cayman available in print and online, our visitors are able to plan their vacations and make the most of their time while visiting our islands,” he said.

Cayman Islands Tourism Association Executive Director Trina Christian said the magazine is the most comprehensive yet.

“We enhanced our membership listings for this issue and we now have a restaurant directory which was a great addition. We hope in a future edition we can expand even more on the information provided for our members.

“It is a very useful publication that is beneficial for visitors. People do a lot of research online, but we have found that they still enjoy reading through a magazine. The editorial and features give it a nice content for people to read, whether in their hotel room or just relaxing.”

She added that increasingly visitors are popping into the Cayman Islands Tourism Association office and visitor centre at 1320 West Bay Road to pick up the magazine and to chat with Association staff about things to do while in Cayman.

“People want to know exactly what there is to do in the islands. Maybe they’ve done some things already but they want to know everything that there is to do,” said Ms Christian.
