Ronald Forbes is getting into great shape for the championship races he will enter in the coming months. The 110 metres sprint hurdler ran a 13:49 seconds for a personal best and improved his Cayman Islands record by one-hundredth of a second over the weekend.
Forbes ran in Miami at a meet in Miramar and improved on his showing the previous week at another meet in Florida when he ran 13.50secs.
His run is the A standard for the World Championships in Korea in August, Pan American Games in Mexico in October and London Olympics next year. Forbes puts his exciting form down to being injury-free and having recently returning to his coach Joey Scott.
