The LEO Club of Grand Cayman has launched a new website. www.leoclub.ky will be another resource used to improve membership growth with information about general meetings, how to join the club, directions,upcoming events, keeping members up-to-date and informing the public about Leo happenings.
“As a team we are pleased to start the fiscal year 2011/2012 with our new website. It will be an asset to the club publicly and also to our current members. We will update the website with current information about the LEO Club in regards to Projects, fund raisers, Recreational and our involvement with our sponsored club, Lions Club of Grand Cayman,” said Cedric Gidarisingh, president.
The LEO Club of Grand Cayman is a nonprofit youth organization for young people between the ages of 18 and 30. This youth generated club was established under the sponsorship of the Lions Club of Grand Cayman in April 26, 1975.
In April 2005, the Club celebrated 30 years of service since its inception, and is a youth service organization that has consistently served our islands.
Over the years, the Leo’s has made numerous contributions to the quality of life and to the people of the Cayman Islands through projects and fund raisers.
The release also states that more than 144,000 young people in 139 countries are proud to serve others in their local communities and to call themselves Leos. These young community leaders are friendly, active and dedicated to creating new and exciting youth volunteer opportunities by participating in their local Leo clubs.
The club meets first and third Wednesday of the month at the Lions Community Centre, 6.30pm.
