Mourant Ozannes has been named ‘Commercial Litigation Law Firm of the Year, Cayman Islands’ by the Finance Monthly Law Awards 2011.
In presenting the awards, Finance Monthly noted that “the role of corporate lawyers cannot be underestimated, they have been at the very heart of the global recovery and their day to day involvement is vital to ensure stability and growth. The past year has seen the green shoots of recovery begin to blossom and although the difficult business environment is ever present, law firms continue to flourish.
In difficult trading conditions such as these, the successful firms innovate and stay fleet of foot to meet the changing business climate head on. The 2011 Finance Monthly law awards recognises all those firms that have dedicated their resources to innovation, built on their depth of expertise and performed outstandingly over the year.”
Hector Robinson, partner in Litigation, said, “Over the past year Mourant Ozannes has strategically grown and improved the quality of its commercial litigation offering in the Cayman Islands. We have in turn been rewarded with very significant instructions in a number of high profile cases. An award such as this is a reflection of the success we have had with these efforts and is a tribute to the very hard work done by our team members.”
