Toastmasters start Gavel Club at Clifton Hunter High

Grand Cayman Toastmasters Club has started its first Gavel Club in the region at Clifton Hunter High School.

Toastmasters President Gregg Anderson inaugurated the club and presented the charter to the members and all students of the Clifton Hunter High School.

According to the organisation, Gavel clubs are aimed at providing Toastmasters’ self-improvement methods and materials to people who may not be eligible for regular membership due to age, inability to pay dues or other circumstances.

Gavel clubs provide Toastmasters members and clubs with an opportunity for community service.

Youth leadership and development are a major community project conducted by the Grand Cayman Toastmasters Club. President Anderson said the group is proud to sponsor another Youth Leadership programme for local high school students.
