Visitor dies after East End dive

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is investigating the death of a 64-year-old diver Wednesday on Grand Cayman.  

At about 11am Wednesday, police were informed
that the man, from Pennsylvania, USA experienced difficulties and lost consciousness while boarding a vessel after completing a dive in East End 

Police said the man was here on holiday diving with a family member when the incident occurred. He was brought on board the vessel with the assistance of staff
from the resident dive company. 

The dive company staff administered CPR until the arrival of ambulance personnel. 

RCIPS officers said the man was conveyed to the Cayman Islands Hospital, George Town, where
he was pronounced dead on arrival.
