Honours graduate in 2008
Denise Archer was admitted to the Bar of the Cayman Islands last month after completing her articles of clerkship at Mourant Ozannes.
Firm partner Hector Robinson presented her credentials to Justice Alexander Henderson, who found her a fit and proper candidate and welcomed her to the legal profession.
Ms Archer, who is Caymanian, got her educational foundation at George Town Primary School and the Cayman Islands High School. She worked as secretary to the Labour Tribunal for the Cayman Islands Government and as an assistant accountant with Deloitte & Touche.
She earned a Bachelor of Law degree with honours in 2008 from the University of Liverpool through the Cayman Islands Law School and the Professional Practice Course designation from the Legal Advisory Council of the Cayman Islands, the same year she joined Mourant Ozannes as articled clerk.
Ms Archer said it was an honour and privilege to be called to the Cayman Islands Bar and to become a member of a great and noble profession.
“I look forward to a productive and enjoyable career as an attorney in the Cayman Islands,” she concluded.
