Travel reviews lead to bookings: report
A report by PhocusWright has revealed that reviews on travel sites are instrumental in persuading people to book online.
According to their research, 13 per cent booked through a hotel site after reading reviews as compared to 9 per cent who did not. For online travel agents, the numbers were 12 per cent with a review and 8 per cent without.
New bookings agent at Cayman Villas
Alice Fallon has been announced as the new reservations agent at condo and villa booking company, Cayman Villas.
Mrs. Fallon, married with one child, has been in Cayman for 20 years and previously worked for the Ritz in the concierge department.
New Free Diving instructors
Emma Nicolsby, Nick Lawton and Toni McNally have completed the new SSI Free Diver Instructor program, under the direction of World Record holder and SSI Freediving Instructor Trainer, Mike Wells of Australia.
Divetech is the only operator offering this new program in Cayman and part of a select handful worldwide that will be able to teach the SSI Free Diving Curriculum, said the company.

Our Indian chefs have brought these menus from grandma,” said Philip Walsh, manager. There’s also a new pizza menu on Tuesdays plus a live band playing reggae, soca and calypso on Fridays and DJs on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon at the pool bar.
