One of the North Side passenger buses – the No. 8 route – was involved in a car accident around 7am Tuesday.
The jitney bus and a Nissan SUV collided on Godfrey Nixon Way near Eastern Avenue. There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
A total of seven people were taken to the hospital, five with minor injuries and two with more serious hurts. All were expected to recover.
Godfrey Nixon Way was closed during a significant portion of Tuesday’s morning rush hour due to the accident.
