Cayman is getting ready for Adventures In Cheese.
The event is hosted by 7 Prime Cuts and Sunsets under the watchful eye of cheese expert Laura Werlin. There will be cheese tasting mens from 25 to 29 October at the Ritz-Carlton restaurant, with choices of tasting three, five, seven cheeses and a three course dinner with the five cheese menu.
This precedes Grilled Cheese Please which is billed as ‘a gourmet grilled cheese seminar’, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 29 October.
Laura Werlin has written five books on cheese and speaks regularly about the subject. Indeed, her book The All American Cheese and Wine Book was the first of its kind to focus on cheese and wine pairing and won a James Beard Award. Her new book is also called Grilled Cheese, please.
The Cayman Culinary Society Awards Gala and Charity Dinner, Out of the Kitchen, takes place at the Ritz-Carlton on Thursday, 28 October, with award-winning ches Bernard Guillas joining maitres cuisinieres de France for the event which benefits both the culinary society and the Ritz-Carlton’s Culinary Arts Scholarship.
During the event, the chefs of Cayman’s restaurants will be joining each table of twelve for an exclusive three-course menu, wine and dessert buffet and of course the stories and humour of the kitchen experience.
