It’s the time of year when many are involved in walk-runs for a good cause.
One that is sure to attract good support is the fifth annual Breeze Fusion 2-Mile Walk/Run anticipate another successful staging on Saturday 5 November. Radio Cayman and Breeze FM continue to be involved in and make meaningful contributions to the society, while promoting healthy family and community activities.
“Radio Cayman and Breeze FM maintains the loyalty of not only listeners but corporate Cayman,” said event coordinator, Paulette Conolly-Bailey, of Radio Cayman. “Over the past four years, Roma United Sports Club has faithfully partnered with us through their Annual Jamaica Independence Celebrations, part proceeds of which are donated to kick-start our fundraising efforts.”
LIME Communications have also confirmed their support again this year, along with Funky Tangs and first time sponsors, Financial Integrated Services through their Moneygram brand.
The Breeze Fusion Walk/Run is organised by Breeze FM and the Phoenix Athletic Club. The organisers are assisted by coach Jerry Harper, club members and service club volunteers.
Started in 2007, proceeds from the event have gone to signature charity, the National Council for Voluntary Organizations, plus each year a second charity is selected. In keeping with Radio Cayman’s focus on youth and education, The Kiwanis Club’s Book Mobile is this year’s additional beneficiary.
The NCVO is an independent, non-profit, charitable organisation which engages in projects to meet the ever-growing needs of the community. The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman, since its inception in 1974, actively promotes the well being of young children. The club is focusing mostly on its education programmes through reading.
