Police: Woman abducted, raped

Royal Cayman Islands Police are looking into at least one, potentially two, incidents involving a man in the Red Bay area preying on females.

One of the victims was sexually assaulted mid-morning Saturday after she was abducted, according to police. The other was approached, but not physically touched or injured, police said.

It was around 10.30am Saturday that police said the 49-year-old female victim was
sexually assaulted in the Red Bay area.

Officers said the victim was forced into a red Honda hatchback vehicle and taken to a location nearby where she was
assaulted.

Police officers have recovered the Honda and are searching for the man believed to have been involved in the attack.

A report was also made of the same vehicle approaching a
young female earlier Saturday in the same area where the attack on the 49-year-old woman occurred.

The younger woman was not hurt. It was believed that she was approached by the man prior to the attack on the 49-year-old woman, however police said she did not report this until after the older woman was attacked.

Anyone who has any information
on the above incidents are asked to contact George Town Criminal Investigation Department on 949-4222 or Crime Stoppers 800-8477 (TIPS).

  1. Let this predator find this little island to close in upon him. Certainly this vehicle will lead the RCIPs to this person to be tried, convicted and spend many years in Northward.

  2. I am not condoning this action. AT ALL.

But they are not telling us something.

I will bet my last dime. That the man slowed down, asked this lady if she wanted a ride. And she got into the car with a stranger.

When are women going to stop accepting rides from strangers?. This is the 3rd time in the last 2 years, we have seen this happen.

    STOP ACCEPTING RIDES FROM STRANGERS.

  3. Big Berd how DARE you blame the victim.

You’re right, the police are probably holding something back but that something may not be that she accepted a ride from someone she didn’t know. They need to keep things from the public so they can weed out the bad tips.
