Subway will be opening a sandwich shop at the end of November, the Reef Resort has confirmed.
“One of the comments we get from guests and owners staying at the Reef Resort and from people who live in East End and North Side,” said Mike Flowers, assistant resort director and food and beverage director, “is that there is a lack of choice for dining. While there are definitely some great dining opportunities in this area, including Pelicans Reef restaurant at the Reef itself, there is still a lack of variety especially for take away in case someone is wishing to go on a picnic or just have a different option.” He added that as most guests came from North America, it was a brand with which they were familiar and one that was already on Island.
Conference success
The resort also hosted a conference for owners of Century 21 franchises in the Caribbean, Bermuda and Bahamas area during September.
Horst Finkbeiner, regional director for Century 21 of the Caribbean, Bermuda & Bahamas said the company were very pleased to be able to show off Grand Cayman and the East End area to owners, all of whom had ‘terrific tourist products themselves within their various countries.’
“With countries such as Bermuda, Aruba, Curacao, Jamaica, Guadeloupe, and Dominica being represented it was very important to us that we chose a resort that exemplified all that the Cayman Islands had to offer.
“The owners that attended are very savvy as to the market in their respective countries and we were able to share a wide variety of dialog in regards to real estate in the various island countries while also touching on subjects such as how tourism affects the real estate market”.
