The Office of His Excellency the Governor of the Cayman Islands in liaison with the Cayman Society of Architects, Surveyors and Engineers (CASE) and the Cayman Contractors Association are promoting the Governor’s Award for Design and Construction Excellence in the Cayman Islands, which is made on an annual basis to encourage, foster and maintain innovation, sustainability and excellence in the Cayman Islands construction industry. The Governor’s Award programme aims to raise the profile of organisations in the construction and development industry as well as acknowledging the hard work and commitment of involved project teams.
The Governor’s Award programme welcomes entries for commercial, industrial and residential developments, houses and renovations completed in the Cayman Islands. A project may be nominated for either the Residential Project or the Commercial Project categories.
Submissions for the Governor’s Award will be judged by a Panel of Judges convened by the governor.
The Award ceremony, announcing the winners of the Governor’s Award in each of the nominating categories, is to be held at the Governor’s Residence on Wednesday 30th November 2011 and will be attended by representatives of entrant project teams, architects, engineers, developers, building contractors, specialist subcontractors and the media.
