In the midst of Pirates Week festivities, local dominoes killed doubles and called key.
The Cayman Islands Domino Association held two matches in its 2011-2012 national domino league last Sunday. DLK took on Sea Inn with DLK winning the match by 20 points. The star players for DLK were Darvin Moore and Greg Hurlstone while Sea Inn were guided by Patrick Beersingh and Leroy Davis.
Sunday’s other match pitted the Island All-Star against East End Mystical Youth, with East End winning the match by 17 points. The key players for All-Stars were Ray McLaughlin (who is also the president of the domino association) and his partner Janet Hislop. East End stated their victory was a team effort.
The next scheduled league matches take place in East End on Sunday, 27 November. Eastern Star Bar sees its team playing against Singh’s Roti Shop while Pirates Cove Bar features East End Mystical Youth, behind stars like Kendal Connor, playing against Kellys.
