In the run up to Christmas, families can amp up excitement levels by taking in some classic Christmas movies. What better way to enjoy the seasonal films than on a giant outdoor screen under the stars? Camana Bay’s traditional summer series returns for a special Christmas edition, which will run from Monday, 19 December to Thursday, 22 December. As usual, movies will be shown in Gardenia Court, so bring a blanket and a picnic, or enjoy some snacks from any of the Camana Bay food vendors. Moonlight and Movies is open to the public and free of charge.

Monday 19 December 7pm: Elf (2003, PG)
After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf (Will Ferrell) at the North Pole is sent to the US in search of his true identity.
Tuesday 20 December 7pm: How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000, PG)
A big budget remake of the classic cartoon in which a grumpy hermit hatches a plan to steal Christmas from the Whos of Whoville, starring Jim Carey.
Wednesday 21 December 7pm: The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993, PG)
A musical fantasy film in which Jack Skellington, king of Halloweentown, discovers Christmas Town, but doesn’t quite understand the concept. With voices of Danny Elfman, Chris Sarandon and Catherine O’Hara.
Thursday 22 December 7pm: Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964, G)
The 1964 animation featuring a misfit reindeer and his friends looking for a place that will accept them.
