They say lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place, but car accidents do.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service investigated two separate car crashes in George Town on Wednesday involving a vehicle running into the same power pole at the south-eastern corner of Shedden Road and North Sound Road.
The first crash happened around noon Wednesday, the other after 6pm.
There were no serious injuries involved in either collision.
The RCIPS provided the following details on the Wednesday evening crash:
“The collision on North Sound Road/Shedden Road at 6.40pm involved three vehicles. It was caused when a Toyota Land cruiser was heading along North Sound road
towards Thomas Russell way. A Nissan Sentra was
travelling along Thomas Russell Way towards North Sound Road. A Toyota Rav 4
which was turning from North Sound Road onto Shedden road on a green light
collided with the Nissan Sentra, which lost control and collided into the Toyota
