After the Christmas expense, it was a Happy New Year for winners of a special Crazy Holiday Giveaway competition run by the Tropical Traders Restaurant Group for tourists and local customers.
The lucky trio whose entries were picked out were Jennifer Bodden, who won the top prize of a 50-inch Panasonic television. Ms. Bodden had entered through Cimboco. Kerry Christian (Chicken! Chicken!) and Lerna Ebanks (Breezes By the Bay) both won an Apple iPad2.
“It’s great – my husband is going to love it; a perfect post-Christmas present. My family goes into Cimboco quite regularly and we are delighted,” Ms. Bodden said.
A great success
Steven Hayes of Tropical Traders Restaurant Group said the competition had been a great success and garnered interest from locals and tourists.
“It was hugely successful for all three restaurants and people really enjoyed it,” he said.
“Jennifer is one of our regular guests, which is great and tourists were able to come in and check out some Caribbean food which was exciting, especially at this time of year.”
Alok Singh, senior sales manager of Progressive Distributors, which worked with the restaurant group on the contest, added his delight at the success.
“We are 100 per cent behind anything the restaurant group as clients and anyone stepping up to do something different is great. This is a very happy new year for the lucky winners,” he said.
