That magic pill doesn’t exist

Hopefully readers are becoming knowledgeable enough to accept the truth that the proverbial ‘magic pill’ for slimming and reducing weight exists only in the ‘pie in the sky’ scheme of things.

Still, people lend heed to the next ridiculous weight-loss tactic to rid themselves of extra pounds.

The latest tactics to hit our streets involves the injection of some sort of solution into the musculature of the body, which along with a low-calorie diet and high price tag, will end your weight challenge.

Yikes, folks. Be careful.

What is most alarming is the growth of get-thin schemes coming forth from medical practitioners.

How can you be sure what you read and hear is beneficial, truthful and for your own good? Test it against your own common sense, the experiences of others, and the research itself.

If we are really honest, we have to admit that the solutions to a weight problem lie within one’s own ability to:

Admit we have created our own condition.

Adapt a new view and way of living and eating.

Get support and help for the road ahead.

Develop determination to become a finisher – this takes commitment.

At this wonderful time of year when we re-ignite the passion for improved health and wellness, Lifestyles suggests that you think carefully and mindfully, taking a healthy approach to well being.

People are scrambling for the easiest quick-fix scheme, which usually ends in a miserable feeling of defeatism.

  1. There really isn’t any simple way towards weight loss. You just need the motivation and gumption to allow the time for weight loss to happen over time. The only way towards permanent weight loss it a thorough understanding of the human body. Most programs only concentrate on the diets and exercises and don’t even educate their clients on how the body works. It is important to know how to feed, care and exercise your body so it performs at its best all the time. Education is the hall-mark of a good weight loss program.

I’ve personally lost 180lbs since Dec 2009. My blood pressure was 160/110, now its 120/80. My cholesterol was 256 mg/dL, now its 176mg/dL. I’m no longer Pre-Diabetic and I’m in the best shape of my life. It wasn’t easy but I can say that everyone can do it if they have the right program.
