A store with four women and a child inside was robbed by two armed men Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 8.30pm at the Miss Alex Variety Store on North Sound Road.
According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, two men entered the store – one carrying what appeared to be a flare gun and another holding a handgun.
The men took a small amount of cash from the register before leaving the store. Police said they appeared to make their escape on foot.
Both suspects were short, around 5 feet tall and witnesses said the robbers appeared young, possibly teenagers. Both men wore jeans and shirts and had their faces covered.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
