Catholic prep Scramble

An innovative golf event is returning to the Cayman sport scene.

The third annual St. Ignatius Golf Scramble will take place on Friday, 30 March at the North Sound Club. The event will have a 1pm shotgun start. The four-person scramble can accommodate up to 72 players in eighteen teams and it is open to the general public.

All proceeds from this event will benefit ongoing facility development funds at St. Ignatius Church and School.

GT Automotive has once again come on board as a major sponsor and will be offering a new car for an ace at a designated par three hole. Sponsorships range from $100 to $1000 and St. Ignatius is appealing for additional sponsors to come forward. Donations of prizes are also welcome. All sponsorships and prizes should be received by Monday, 26 March in order to be included in advertising, programme and signs.

Those wishing to play in the scramble should submit a registration form and CI$150 per player (CI$600 per team) as soon as possible. The entry fee includes goody bag, cart rental, chances to win lots of great prizes, buffet meal and awards presentations after the golf. There will also be competitions for closest to the pin, longest drive, putting champion and best dressed golfer.

Registration/sponsorship forms may be obtained by visiting the St. Ignatius School or Church Offices. Forms are also available at the North Sound Club pro shop. To request a registration form please e-mail [email protected]

Please submit all forms/payments by hand to the St. Ignatius Church Office (Walkers Road) or by post to St. Ignatius Golf Scramble, PO Box 2638, Grand Cayman, KY1-1102. Forms/payments can also be submitted to Jason or Robert at the North Sound Club. The final deadline to register is 26 March, but it is likely that all available spaces will fill up before then so please register early to avoid disappointment.
