CUC long meet keeps them on track

The Cayman Islands Athletic Association hosts the annual CUC Age Group Championships on Friday 9 March.

As the CARIFTA championships approach, this is an ideal opportunity for those vying to qualify to try for a late entry. The two day meet is one of the best attended and most popular on the track and field calendar and deserves mass support.

It starts 6pm and continues on Saturday 10 March, from 9am. Ages seven upwards are eligible to participate in this great event. Events being contested are: 80 metres, 100m, 150m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 100m hurdles, 110m hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump, javelin, ball throw, discus and shot put. Registration forms are available on CaymanActive @ www.caymanactive.com/cuc. No entry fee is required and registration deadline is on Tuesday. Officials and volunteers are asked to come out and assist.
