National helps Cydonie

Cayman National has shown its dedication and support to sports and its Caymanian athletes by joining as a bronze sponsor for the inaugural Cayman Invitational track event at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.

The event on 9 May will feature over 80 professional athletes and Caymanian athletes will participate as well. This will be the first local professional track meet in which our local athletes will participate alongside world-class professionals.

Ormond Williams, President, Cayman National Bank said: “We are happy to support the Cayman Invitational track event as we believe it will be beneficial to our young athletes to get hands-on experience with professional athletes.

“The event could also stimulate sports tourism in our islands. Cayman National wishes the organisers and athletes every success in the event which we hope paves the way for more sporting events of this calibre.”

Event co-ordinator Cydonie Mothersill who will run in the 200 metres, said: “Cayman National Bank has been a long standing supporter of my career and I am honoured that they also choose to support this event. I extend a heartfelt thank you to them for their investment and for always supporting sports in Cayman.”
