The 30th annual Bike-a-thon of the Rotary Club of Cayman Brac takes place on Saturday, 31 March.
“We are expecting a good turn of between 25 to 30 riders,” says Audley Scott of the Rotary Club.
“Each participant will be given a T-Shirt. Riders are mainly from the primary and high schools with some adult participation as well.”
Prizes, adds Audley, range from a laptop computer (sponsored by LIME) to $50 cash for the oldest rider.
“Other prizes are a gift certificate for the group of Family riders with the most immediate family members riding, (Sponsored by PoPo Jeb’s Pizza) and many other prizes.
“We also offer a plaque to the school raising the most funds. There will be four water stop-stations along the route and at the finish line riders will treated to light refreshments.”
The route of approximately 12 miles begins from Spot Bay turnaround to West End Community Park and start time is at 8am.
