Dorando calls key

Domino action is set to return from its Easter break.

The Cayman Islands Domino Association 2012 national league sees its next pair of matches this Sunday, 15 April. Two of the league’s powerhouses are slated to be in action.

Pirates Cove Bar will see an East End showdown as the unbeaten East End Mystical Youth battle Eastern Star. At George Town’s DLK Bar, team DLK will challenge Sea Inn.

The Mystical Youth are riding high atop the league standings, with a recent 58-point victory over Island All-Stars. The stars for East End Mystical Youth were Carlton Solomon and Clinton Peddie and the stars for Island All-Star were Oleta Elliott and Marcia Myles.

While DLK boast talents like Richard Allen, they will need to corral a Sea Inn team, featuring skilled players like Dorando Smith, fresh off a 56-point win over Eastern Star. Patrick Beersingh and Leroy Davis guided Sea Inn to victory while Eastern Star featured Andre Bodden and Jeno McLaughlin.

The association would also like to reiterate a recent review by the executive board, a match between Singh’s Roti Shop and team Archies is officially being ruled as a tie. Both squads initially ended their match level at 287 points apiece.
