Trees for
Earth Month

Several trees were planted at the Pines Retirement Home on Wednesday, 18 April, as part of the finishing touches on the facility’s landscaping and to mark Earth Month.

The trees were planted by the Garden Club of Grand Cayman, along with Rob Bennett,
the club’s president.

Trees planted, which included Breadfruit, Nease Berry and Iron Wood, were donated by Myrtle and Oswald Thomas.

The team from the Garden Club of Grand Cayman said it wanted to choose plants that the older residents would relate to, in addition to providing shade and
fresh fruit.
