In return for all the hard work they do the rest of the year, mums deserve a little spoiling on Mother’s Day. It could come in the form of a massage, a bunch of flowers or some other gift of course, but most mums would actually prefer the company of their own families on their special day.
Being a Sunday, you could certainly do worse than to take her to the beach and treat her to a special meal.
Kaibo has teamed up with Veuve Cliquot this year to offer specials on champagne all day on Mother’s Day, with glasses of bubbly going for $15 and the whole bottle for just $69. Whether you pull in by boat and just stop by for a drink, or come by car and settle in for the day, the bubbles will make an affordable treat for mums and non-mums alike.
A special Mother’s Day menu is being created by Chef Lawrence Tham at the Upstairs restaurant, so that mothers and families may indulge in a delicious a la carte meal all day, from noon until 9pm.
The a la carte menu will include children’s options (fish, shrimp or chicken linguine) as well as a host of sophisticated appetisers and entrees for adults, so that the whole family can enjoy a meal together.
