Fashion at museum raises $22,000

The Miss Cayman Committee has raised $22,000 during a catwalk fundraiser.

The money raised will go toward training and development as well as committee expenses.

“I am pleased to confirm that we raised over $22,000, which we appreciate so much during these challenging times. The venue was one of kind and special thanks to our wonderful hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Andreas Ugland. This event could not have been possible without their support and generosity,” said Lyn Bodden committee chairwoman.

Fashion in the Fast Lane was held at Cayman Motor Museum with local and international models parading fashion wear from Sand Angels, Celeb Boutique and Cayman Couture.

The night was filled with a host of prizes donated by Magnum Jewellers, which also sponsored the models’ accessories, as well as offerings from Cayman Airways, Guy Harvey’s Grill, Grand Old House, Cayman Private Charters, Luis Vallecillo, Eclipze Hair Design and Day Spa, Cayman Automotive, Strand Dental Clinic and Trisha’s Roses.

Makeup was donated by Kirk Freeport and hairstylist Pasquale Caselle offered his services complimentary. The Miss Universe Pageant will be held in December 2012, the location is not yet confirmed.
