Boat rides under starry skies, dancing barefoot on the beach, paper lanterns lighting up the night and a full moon – all the ingredients are there for a magical evening.
It’s the monthly Luna del Mar full moon celebration, coming up today, Friday, 1 June. And this month it’s an extra special one as Kaibo celebrates its five-year anniversary of Luna del Mar.
It’s quite a unique evening, the likes of which you will not find anywhere else on the island. Far from the traffic, bright lights and crowds of Seven Mile Beach, Kaibo offers you an opportunity to enjoy a moonlit evening of fine wines and gourmet cuisine, in the tranquil surroundings of North Side. Tables are set up on the beach – you choose whether you want to sit on colourful scatter cushions on the sand, or at regular tables – fairy lights are strung up between the trees and tiki torches flicker all around.
A three course a la carte dinner from Upstairs restaurant is served under swaying palm trees, accompanied by relaxing chill out tunes.
As the dining draws to a close, paper lanterns are lit and as they warm up, float up in to the night sky and across the sea.
The DJ increases the tempo after dinner and then it’s dancing on the beach until your water chariot is ready to whisk you back to the real world.
Those making the journey by boat are offered free dockage upon arrival. Reservations are highly recommended.
