Catch some of the best art created in the Cayman Islands this month at the Ogier Art Exhibition.
Local artists were invited to submitted artwork for consideration for the Ogier Art Awards and Exhibition last month, and a select number of these will be exhibited for two weeks prior to a number of winners being announced. The artwork will be displayed in the Heliconia Room on Market Street in Camana Bay from 11-27 June.
The public will get the chance to see the diverse styles and talents of Cayman’s artists, all collected together in one place.
The exhibition will close with an awards ceremony with prizes being given to the two strongest artists and to a promising “emerging” artist. Work will be in a variety of media, with no specified theme and both two dimensional and 3D works have been considered. Camana Bay is also sponsoring a photography award this year, and the winning photo will be awarded as a random prize.
The winning pieces will be added to the Ogier Corporate Art Collection, which will be displayed at Ogier’s offices at Camana Bay.
The exhibition is free and open to the public Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
