Summer Solstice at The Ritz-Carlton turns up the heat

Ladies and gentlemen it is that time again – another fabulous evening at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is coming your way courtesy of the 2012 Silver Palm Event Series.

It is guaranteed to be a hot, hot, hot summer so celebrate at Summer Solstice this Friday, 22 June and chill with Moët & Chandon Ice Imperial Champagne. It is the perfect way to cool a body down when the temperatures rise for the season.

Summer Solstice is the second event in the series for this year, and if the first one was anything to go by, people will definitely want to show up promptly at 9.30pm to ensure that they don’t miss any of the action.

There is no entrance fee and lots of fabulous prizes to be won, as well as Moët & Chandon Imperial Champagne and Abuelo Rum cocktail specials throughout the night. All guests should plan to party until at least midnight, as when the clock strikes 12 one lucky person will win An Epicure’s Tour – a progressive dinner dining experience for two guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

The journey begins with a sunset cocktail at Barjack’s beach terrace and takes you through the five restaurants of this stunning resort, including gourmet sushi, fresh wasabi and sake pairing at Taikun; pasta, fresh local seafood and wine pairing at Periwinkle; fine steaks with wine pairing in an intimate 7 Restaurant beach cabana; dessert from none other than the pastry chef at Blue by Eric Ripert with wine from an award-winning list; and finally cordials in the Silver Palm Lounge. This incredible dining experience is valued at $1,000, but can you really put a price on such an extraordinary personalised tour?

Private table

A maximum of six guests per table will have at their disposal a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial Champagne and Ice Imperial Champagne (these can be substituted for Abuelo Rum and complimenting mixers), a Taikun sushi presentation and dedicated Ritz-Carlton service that is second-to-none. What better way to kick off the weekend than with a group of friends at your own Summer Solstice table?

DJ XS will be spinning all the tunes throughout the night, so whatever you wear, make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes strapped on. The dress code is evening chic, so you might want to leave those ratty jeans and shredded shorts at home. Dress to impress!
