Miss Cayman recaps US pageant experience

Miss Cayman Lindsay Japal said she is grateful for the opportunity she experienced during the recent Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.  

“Attending Miss USA has definitely been one of the highlights of my reign. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to learn from such influential people within the fashion and pageant industry, such as Sherri Hill, Fadil Berish, and former Miss USA Chelsea Cooley, This was a fantastic training opportunity for me,” she said. 

During her visit, Ms Japal was photographed by New York-based fashion photographer Fadil Berisha. Berisha is the official photographer for Miss Universe and Miss USA and during his prestigious 30-year career he has photographed celebrities such as Halle Berry, Bill Clinton, Tyra Banks and Clive Davis.  

Also during her visit, Cayman’s reigning beauty trained with Miss USA 2005 Chelsea Cooley, participating in sessions covering catwalk training, modelling and photography.  

Ms Japal’s trip was sponsored by Caledonian Global Financial Services.

Caledonian was founded 42 years ago in the Cayman Islands and is headed by joint CEO’s Kobi Dorenbush and Barry McQuain. It is a global financial services firm specialising in securities, banking, fund administration, captive insurance management, fiduciary, trust and director Services.

  1. At the least offensive, one could call this stuff mild pornography. The fascinating question is: who actually makes money out of it? and do they pay tax on their earnings?
