The Caymanian Compass is sponsoring Cayman’s ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) 2 Buy 2 Food Drive this week. They are looking for non-perishable food items as well as basic necessities such as toothbrushes etc. to help those in need.
Bins are located at the following drop-off points:
- Foster’s The Strand
- Foster’s Countryside (Savannah)
- Hurley’s Grand Harbour
- Kirk Supermarket
- Discovery Centre @ Camana Bay
- Cayman Free Press
It would be great if we each could manage at least one item to put in there, so please consider this when you next visit the supermarket. Although many may see this as an opportunity to get rid of that jar of maraschino cherries in vinegar from their Christmas hamper last year, familiar soups and things like canned tuna will be more welcome.
The list of items can be found by clicking here.
It is important to check the list, as things like rice and flour are not on it due to weevil concerns.
The drive ends on Thursday night as the bins will be picked up and taken to their storage facility on Friday.
Thank you for supporting the wonderful projects of ARK.
