Don’t forget to purchase your very own mango tree so that you can enjoy sweet, juicy mangoes, straight from the tree, all summer long.
The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park is holding its annual mango tree sale tomorrow, Saturday, 28 July.
The doors open at 9am and there will be literally hundreds of trees for sale in gallon pot sizes.
“There will be over 20 varieties for sale including Alphonso, Bombay, Carrie, Cogshall, DOT, East Indian, Edward, Fairchild, Glenn, Graham, Haden, Ice Cream, Jakarta, Julie, Keitt, Kent, Lancellita, Mallika, Nam Doc, Neelum, Rosigold, Val Carrie and Valencia Pride,” says John Lawrus, general manager.
Whatever your mango preference, you’ll be able to find the variety for you. There will also be breads, juices, hams and other local food items on sale, thanks to Zelmalee Ebanks.
Get there promptly to avoid disappointment – but not too early as you won’t get in before 9am.
