Get wet ‘n’ wild at H2O

Are you ready to get soaked? The second annual H20 Wet Fete is coming and it’s promised to be even bigger than the last.

“H2O Wet Fete started last year with approximately 900 people. This is the 2nd annual fete and we’re expecting an even bigger turn out.” Says Cedric Gidarisingh, sales and marketing manager at Margaritaville, Grand Cayman.

The event is taking place today, Friday, 27 July, on the waterfront, outside Margaritaville in George Town. “The waterfront will be blocked off at 7pm for set-up and the party starts at 9pm until 3am. There’ll be foam, a fire truck spraying patrons with water and awesome music,” says Cedric.

Cayman’s hottest disc jockeys have been booked. Don’t pass up the chance to see the mixOcologyst; D Docta, DJ Domuneek, DJ Lin, DJ Royal and DJ Neko, all playing together on one mind-blowing night. Expect sexy soca, dancehall, Latin and the top-40 chart toppers.

“A Wet Fete comprises of water/foam, music and a good time with friends,” Cedric says. There’s going to be a whole lot of water and a whole lot of foam so unless you don’t mind getting your clothes wet, swim wear is encouraged.

Look forward to great drink deals, “We will have drink specials on Red Stripe and Bacardi. $3 beer, $4 wells and $5 Margaritas,” Cedric says.

There has only been one other Wet Fete in Grand Cayman. During Cayman Carnival, patrons requested one for the summer and here it is. Your wish has come true.

So if you’re prepared to get drenched then make sure to be at the biggest street party on the Island.

“We expect a huge turnout. This is the first time anyone is hosting an event like this on the street. We expect about 1,200 people,” Cedric says.

Admission is $10 pre-sold and $15 at the Gate. You can buy your ticket before the night from Margaritaville, Singh’s Roti Shop, Winner Circle Sports or J&M Electronics.
