The People’s Progressive Movement and independent MLA Ezzard Miller postponed a public meeting about the expat tax that they had called in George Town tonight (Monday, 6 August).
Mr. Miller said they postponed the meeting because they want to hear what McKeeva Bush has to say about the proposed expat tax and its alternatives at a meeting the premier is scheduled to hold in Mary Miller Hall tonight.
In a statement released Saturday, Mr. Bush said an announcement regarding the proposed 10 per cent on the income of expatriates’ earning $36,000 or more per annum would be made at Monday night’s meeting, which is due to begin at 7.30pm.
