Police: DUI suspect hits liquor store

A motorist on Cayman Brac apparently mistook the Brac Freeport liquor store for a drive-thru early Thursday.

According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, a Honda drove into the liquor store’s frontage in the early morning.

Police said they arrested the female driver on suspicion of driving under the influence and careless driving. No one was hurt in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.

Both the car and store sustained serious damage, police said.
