SaxonMG has announced that it is once again the title sponsor for Pirates Week.
The company said it was happy to be a part of the event supporting the Cayman Islands largest and longest running festival. This year marks the 35th year of this event, which is said to draw more than 30,000 visitors annually.
“We are excited to be part of such an amazing event that both promotes Cayman Islands tourism and brings the community together via heritage days celebrating the many traditions of our distinct neighbourhoods,” said Brian Williams of SaxonMG.
The festival from 8-18 November includes music, street dancing, competitions, games, local fare, children’s activities, and glittering parade, sporting events for everyone, Heritage Days, a pirate invasion show and a spectacular fireworks display.
The festival rolls out with a bang that includes local steel pan drummers competing for prizes, a kick-off party and, of course, the commencement of Pirates Week wouldn’t be complete without a massive bang of fireworks. Dress up in your favourite pirate costume for a prize, watch the crowning of the Festival Queen and sing along in the National Song contest. There will even be a pirate invasion at the harbour in George Town on Saturday. Truly an amazing site, for the whole family to enjoy and SaxonMG will be there offering the License to Win a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Sport LT.
SaxonMG is the only wholly Caymanian owned insurance company in the Cayman Islands.
