Country’s garbage is horrible

My husband and I live on Grand Cayman Island for part of the year. We love it here so much that we give back. Once a month we clean up a beach front or a public area. This usually fills four to five large green garbage bags.

We have just returned from Canada and did our drive around to see our lovely Island. We stopped at the Turtle Farm parking lot to look out on to the ocean and were HORRIFIED to see all the litter and garbage on the iron shore; the other side of the wall!

We realised there is not one garbage can available onsite! I would hope with an election coming and tourist season close, this matter will be addressed.

Shame on everyone who doesn’t throw their garbage in garbage cans OR take your own garbage home and stop littering up our best asset, the Island.
