Pirates Week approaches swiftly, ladies and gents. As part of the annual shindig, each district gets a chance to show off their wares at a special Heritage Day, and each district also competes in the Miss Festival Queen contest.
To that end, the Bodden Town Heritage Committee presents its Miss Heritage Queen Competition on Sunday, 21 October, at Pedro St. James in Savannah.
A Sunday evening of ‘elegance, poise and entertainment’ is planned with gates open at 3pm and showtime at 4pm. Admission is $5 for adults with kids under 12 getting in for free.
For your hard-earned you’re gonna get entertainment by local artists and dancers, a fashion and culture show by queen contestants, gate prizes, an appearance by Tori Miller, reigning queen and a chance to cast your vote for the People’s Choice with ballots open from 3 to 5pm.
All proceeds are in aid of the Bodden Town Miss Festival Queen costume.
