Buzz going round for play-offs

The final matches of the five-a-side football regular season finished last week at King’s Sports Centre and the play-offs commenced on Monday.

In the combined Division One and Two league, Security Centre were beaten 7-5 by the mighty Banaca Boyz. Ricoh Brown and Chris Douglas both scored twice for Security Centre and Lee Parry got the other. There was also a brace for Banaca’s Jedd Ebanks, Adalid Dixon and Rene Carter and Mark Ebanks got the other.

CFP Buzz Crusaders squeezed past Appleby 4-4 with two apiece from Davey McLaughlin and Kyle Santamaria for Buzz with Appleby goals coming from Brian Scott (2) and Kenzel Dixon.

Hurley’s had a tight game against West Star, winning 5-4. Hurley’s scorers were Denver Barnes (2), Thiago Cunha, Ariel Tatum and Henry Ebanks.

West Star marksmen were Willard Robinson (2), Nicholas Tibbetts and Dexter Beckford.

In the Division Three semi-final play-offs, CML Claymores cruised past KPMG Titans 4-1. CML scorers were Daniel Cummings (2), Kevin O’Brien and Steve McIntosh. Kabir Singh got the Titans consolation goal.

Deloitte were 5-1 victors over No XQ’s. Dave Foster (2), John Morris, David Acutt and Dan Powery got the Deloitte goals and XQ’s can thank Jernej Zavadlav for theirs.

CFP Buzz played a catch up match against West Star last Thursday and won 7-2.

Buzz also drew 2-2 with Transformers last week. Rono Henry was exceptional for Transformers. O’Neil Robinson had some good spells for Transformers as well.
