Chamber launches CayShop

Thursday 25 to Saturday 27 October 2012

The ARC in Camana Bay

Now that Cayman has a much broader selection of stores than ever before offering top of the range, name brand goods, as well as niche businesses creating one-of-a-kind Cayman-made items, there has never been a better time to shop locally. To encourage everyone to think of Cayman first before jetting overseas to purchase goods, the Chamber is pleased to launch CayShop, the newly improved version of its highly popular annual Business Expo. In addition, CayShop is also a new campaign which encourages everybody to shop locally, promoting the advantages and benefits of supporting local businesses.

CayShop will also replace the Chamber’s well-used discount card programme, Cayman’s first and longest-running membership discount programme. Chamber members and their employees will now receive a CayShop card which will allow them to save money and receive discounts in more than one hundred Chamber member businesses. These discounts will be posted on the website and will be listed for free for Chamber members. The discounts are offered exclusively to Chamber members and their employees. In addition we will be posting business-to-business discounts, so that local companies can gain extra benefits of conducting business with their fellow business owners on-island.

This free to attend event will offer everyone who comes along the chance to pick up some truly excellent deals, and in some cases the best prices of the year, on many items from cell phones to housewares. For the first time this year CayShop will also have a completely new section focussing solely on smaller, cottage industries and micro businesses, often featuring locally-made items. Sample some of the best and most unique items that Cayman has to offer, all under one roof.

The Chamber encourages everyone to attend and be part of the shop local campaign; supporting local business means supporting Cayman’s economy
as a whole.
