Two fast food joints robbed

Royal Cayman Islands Police are investigating robberies at two fast food restaurants in the George Town area Wednesday night.

The heists occurred within a half hour of one another, but police did not state whether the incidents were connected.

According to police reports, at 8:59pm Wednesday, officers received a report of robbery at the KFC Restaurant at 14 Shedden Rd. An individual who appeared to be male, carrying what appeared to be a firearm, held up the cashier.

No shots were fired. No one was injured. It was not immediately clear what was taken.

Then at 9:26pm at Burger King on Walkers Road, two individuals appearing to be males, brandished what appeared to be firearms and robbed the business, police said. It is not yet determined what was stolen. Again, there were no injuries and no shots were fired.

No arrests were immediately reported.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of either locations just before, during or after the incidents is asked to contact the George Town Police Station Criminal Investigation Department at 949-4222.

    Seriously though…robbing fast food places – these people need to be caught, so we can have their pictures and all laugh at them. Idiots.
