Co-ed softball in Cayman has a new crop of champions.
The Cayman Islands Little League wrapped up its championship week for the Fall 2012 Adult Co-ed Softball League. Three of the competition’s four divisions would crown winners at the Field of Dreams facility in George Town.
The Coors Light Chuggers defeated Chris Creighton’s Master Batters 21-11 on Monday to earn the division two title. For Coors Light, it is their first championship in five calendar years or 10 co-ed seasons.
Coors Light, behind captain Alan Markoff, now have three championships since being formed in February 2005. The other triumphs came in the Fall 2005 campaign (as the Americo Chuggers) and Fall 2007 season (as the Digicel Chuggers).
In division three, the Deloitte Tigers would defeat PWC B 15-11 on Tuesday. Deloitte now have their first softball title in recent memory after emerging as a contending team in the last three seasons. The Tigers were 7-4-1 in the regular season, behind the likes of John Marrs, with PWC topping the standings at 9-2-1 armed with stars like Robert Harris.

For the record, the division one final has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, 14 November, from 6.30pm. Reigning dynasty Home Gas, who were the regular season winners at a league-best 11-1, face 6-6 KPMG A.
