Elite may have lost their top two strikers but they have adequately replaced them with two equally as good. Hank Parchment hit two more on Sunday against George Town at the TE McField Annex for his fifth and sixth goals of the season for Elite’s 2-1 win.
Parchment’s new partner Mark Ebanks kept GT on their toes throughout and it is only a matter of time after he settles in that he will be banging them in too. Parchment scored in the 26th and 37th minutes and George Town replied with a goal from Justin Pierre in the 85th.
In the earlier game at the Annex, Academy beat Tigers 4-2 with two more from Emmanuel Brown and strikes from Fabio Gall and Romario Dixon for Academy. Tigers scorers were Noman Montoya and Miguel Simms.
In the matches at North Side, Bodden Town drew 0-0 with Scholars International and North Side beat Cayman Athletic 2-1. Brandyn Murray scored for Athletic in the 40th minute, Guiton King equalised in the 67th and Matthew Suberan got Athletic’s winner in the 85th.
Elite remain top of the Premier League having won all six and have 18 points. Bodden Town are second on 13 then come Scholars International on 12 followed by Academy and George Town, both on 10. North Side are sixth and Cayman Athletic seventh, both on three points. Tigers have yet to pick up a point.
Bodden Town’s Dwayne ‘Gaza’ Wright is the leading scorer on nine, Parchment is next and Emmanuel Brown has scored five.
Premier League action returns on Sunday with games at the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay where Academy face Bodden Town in the 5pm game and Scholars International face Elite in the 7pm match.
At the TE McField Annex George Town battle with North Side first before Tigers face Cayman Athletic.
