Tourism conferences set for next year

A date has now been set for the 2013 Caribbean Tourism Organization State of the Industry Conference to be hosted by Martinique.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization and Martinique reported that they have settled on 16 to 18 October, 2013, with the official opening set for the evening of 16 October followed by two days of plenary sessions. The conference will be preceded by the Caribbean Tourism Organization business meetings, scheduled for 15 and 16 October.

The Martinique Tourism Bureau and Caribbean Tourism Organization have already started planning for what they said was expected to be an exciting and relevant programme.

More pow-wows

Other conferences set for next year include meetings of the Caribbean Tourism Organization executive committee, board of directors and council of ministers and commissioners.

Nassau, Bahamas, on 20 January, and the annual Sustainable Tourism Conference, taking place in Trinidad and Tobago from 15 to 18 April.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization exists to increase significantly the inclusion of the Caribbean region in the set of destinations being considered by travellers. It envisions the global recognition of the Caribbean as a growing set of places and experiences that people feel compelled to enjoy during their lifetime.
