The Cayman Islands community will come together to share career, job, scholarship and educational opportunities at the Careers Expo.

Organised by the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the National Workforce Development Agency and some of the major employers in the Cayman Islands, the Careers Expo allows high and college students and school leavers an excellent opportunity to review opportunities available in all areas of employment and higher learning and training.

The full day event, now in its 15th year, will include interactive presentations and demonstrations from exhibitors in all industry sectors for students who are seeking advice on career options, employees who are seeking opportunities in different industry sectors and higher learning and school leavers who wish to apply for job opportunities and scholarships that are available in the public and private sectors.

Chamber scholarship website to be featured

Students who visit the event will receive information about the Chamber’s newest website www.showmethemoney.ky, which is the Islands’ first scholarship portal that lists scholarships, internships and educational opportunities available for local students. All businesses and organisations that offer these types of opportunities can log into the site for free and post their opportunities. Students can also log in to create their own unique profile on the website and apply for scholarships and other opportunities.

“The Chamber’s newest website is an important online tool that connects businesses and students for the first time with scholarship, educational, internships, work experience and any other opportunity that helps to develop talent in our community. All employers and organisations are strongly encouraged to go online to post their opportunities. So many businesses and organisations provide excellent scholarships and opportunities but if these are not widely known then our local students and job seekers do not benefit
.”
Chamber CEO Wil Pineau CCE

“National Workforce Development Agency is delighted to be a major sponsor for the Chamber’s Careers, Education Training & Jobs Expo 2013. Partnerships such as this, foster  harmonious  working relationships with all stakeholders resulting  in tangible outcomes such as lifelong learning experiences, job opportunities and a skilled workforce  which ultimately  contribute to the success of businesses and our islands.”
